AmbiLogic Pty Ltd is the South Australian designer and manufacturer of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)...more about AmbiLogic Pty Ltd.
These workhorses of the modern age surround us everywhere, silently and reliably easing our lives and making the impossible possible.
We walk up to a building, a PLC opens the door for us and closes it behind us. The lights become brighter, commanded by a PLC which has sensed our arrival. The interior is cool and comfortable - the climate is controlled by a PLC. We go to the elevator which is controlled by a PLC. We check the time on the wall clock, which was assembled by a PLC-controlled automatic machine. We use our key card to open the door to our office - the security system uses several PLCs networked together.
The list goes on: everything we use and touch has a PLC in its story somewhere.

Distributed Control and Telemetry
The new inexpensive BPEX-01 backplane extenders enable single I/O modules or backplanes with blocks of modules to be mounted remotely. AmbiLogic's backplane technology was designed with these distributed applications in mind.
One of our customers is using these extenders with SKDA-01 Stater Kits and EXDA-01 Expander Modules to implement marine engine-room telemetry and controls. What could you do with a distributed PLC that does not break the bank?
